Lemonade Day
Lemonade Day is an educational program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business — a lemonade stand. Youth are introduced to lessons like goal setting, planning, budgeting, finding an investor, creating a lemonade recipe, choosing a location, advertising, building a stand, running a business and reporting results. This free, experiential program culminates in an event that the entire community can celebrate — Lemonade Day! On this day, youth set up their lemonade stands throughout the community and open for business. Lemonade Day has been operating in Lubbock for 10 years and has good brand recognition.
