We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide administrative and other assistance to the legal team supporting AWS's sales and marketing business. As a Legal Assistant, you will be a key member of our team, helping us support clients as we work to provide world class experiences to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly with autonomy; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick responses; support the team and multiple internal clients. The candidate will also be customer-obsessed, have great attention to detail while meeting deadlines, great organizational skills and the ability to switch gears/topics at short notice. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential. The role will also involve maintaining project trackers, updating internal document management and resource sharing databases, and supporting contract management including working with contract management software and collecting approvals and signatures for contracts.
A day in the life
This person’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing simplification and legal automation projects, arranging the execution of contracts, outside counsel management including support with budgeting and processing of legal invoices, business training on legal tools, general administration and other project management needed to support the business and legal teams.

The role supports a team of attorneys and legal professionals who counsel AWS's sales and marketing business.

Basic Qualifications
1+ years of professional or military experience
2+ years of administrative assistant experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
Experience in a technology company or other legal experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $38,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $92,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
