Overview
The Senior Manager eCommerce Platform is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of our e-commerce platforms powered by SAP Hybris. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative e-commerce solutions that enhance user experience and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in SAP Hybris, a deep understanding of e-commerce strategies, and exceptional leadership abilities to guide and grow the development team.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
- SAP Hybris Commerce: Extensive experience with SAP Hybris Commerce Suite, including but not limited to, Hybris Commerce Accelerators, Cockpits, Cron Jobs, internationalization, personalization, security concepts, and payment integration. Knowledge of Hybris Data Hub and CPQ (Configure Price Quote) is highly desirable.
- Programming Languages : Proficient in Java, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Experience with other programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy is a plus.
- Web Technologies: Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX. Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js is advantageous.
- Spring Framework: Solid experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Integration. Familiarity with Spring Boot for microservices development is beneficial.
- Database Management: Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and noSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Understanding of database design, ORM (Object Relational Mapping) frameworks like Hibernate, and JPA (Java Persistence API).
- DevOps and CI/CD: Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI. Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is valuable.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud services and deployment models on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with cloud-native services, serverless architectures, and cloud storage solutions.
- API Development: Experience in developing RESTful and SOAP web services. Understanding of API management and integration patterns.
- Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing tools like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, or Cucumber.
- Security: Understanding of web application and e-commerce security best practices, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, SSL/TLS, and secure coding principles.
- Agile/Scrum: Demonstrated experience in Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence for project management and collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the eCommerce development team, overseeing all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, designing, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Architect and implement high-quality SAP Hybris solutions that are scalable, performance-optimized, and secure.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, documentation, and security standards.
- Drive the adoption of Agile/Scrum methodologies to enhance project delivery and team efficiency.
- Facilitate continuous learning and development of the team through coaching, mentoring, and providing opportunities for professional growth.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Keep abreast of the latest SAP Hybris features, e-commerce trends, and technologies to recommend and implement improvements to our platforms.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and creative problem-solving.
- Liaise with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure seamless integration and support for our e-commerce ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and formal education in a relevant discipline
- 5+ years of business technology experience with prior supervisory experience
- Experience working in large complex technology projects including those with offshore teams
- Working knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies
- Strong team player with ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a variety of functions as well as able to work independently
- Excellence presentation and facilitation skills to communicate complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and manage an action plan including strong attention to detail
- Ability to lead a team environment with the Agile delivery values of Openness, Commitment, Respect, Courage, and Focus
