Serves as the Vehicle Electronics and Architecture Program Manager working with the Electrical Power team which aids in the execution of multi-million-dollar Task Order/Work Directive based contracts. Manages multiple Task Instructions/Task Order Attachments running concurrently and at various stages of life cycle, ensures cost, schedule and performance are at required standard or higher. Maintains flow of contract documentation through work processes and assignment to various contract officer representatives (CORs). The position requires an understanding of project/program management competencies to execute projects within established cost, schedule, and performance constraints. The position will require experience in the development and management of project plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), risk management, project level budget management, Technology Transition Agreements (TTA), contract materials (as mentioned above), as well as adhere to the VEA standard set of organizational processes. The position oversees and maintains close working relationships with project stakeholders including engineering and management personnel within GVSC VEA and other tech areas to provide assistance, resolve problems, and exchange information on in-house VEA projects or those supported by VEA; help maintain a constant state of process improvement, in accordance with VEA best practices. Manages a comprehensive program of research, development, procurement, production, supply, and maintenance to provide a balanced, economical and effective system for customers within the assigned programs. Advises on formulation of broad policies and doctrines. Aids in the development of plans for accomplishment of the assigned programs. Apprises GVSC Deputy Director and/or Senior Executive of overall plans, policies, and objectives, that involve new or unusual features having widespread ramifications or conflicting interests and objectives. Ensures that new programs are planned and integrated within current operations or identifies the shortfalls that such new programs will cause. Incumbent aids in the maintenance of a continuous up-to-date cognizance of all aspects of the assigned programs. Reviews and evaluates data relating to short- and long-range technical management, financial objectives, and requirements to keep abreast of program progress and anticipated problems. Identifies problem areas and determines and directs actions necessary to accomplish the project plan. Advises GVSC Senior staff, Deputy, Director and/or Senior Executive of program progress and of all instances where action is necessary to resolve a problem or correct deficient performance. Maintains liaison with appropriate representatives of higher headquarters, field commands, and industry to ensure up-to-date awareness of the status of all actions, detection of before-the-fact potential slippage and of increased costs. Evaluates pertinent data from such points of contact to provide ready, accurate and complete response to policy and program status inquiries. Represents GVSC at high-level conferences and meetings, other commands, agencies, and private industry on matters pertaining to all aspects of assigned programs. Provides general management of the programs, recommending and/or acting on proposals. Maintains continuing surveillance of trends in any general management area of mission operations and appraises Command Chain of a) the need for studies involving new concepts or programs, b) status of existing programs, c) presence of overlapping and/or non-essential activities, etc., with recommended corrective action as appropriate. Helps maintain the implementation of concluded agreements on programs, tasks actions, establishes timetables, designs and implements management and reporting systems, and monitors all actions taken to carry out programs. Reviews reports, analyzes issues, directs problem solving, evaluates progress, assesses outcomes, reports on cost/schedule/technical progress and outcomes, and recommends follow-on actions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Degree - Ideally an ABET accredited Engineering degree within Software or Electrical
