Job description
ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT (EAS):
Bowhead is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architects to join our team at Eglin AFB, FL for a potential four-year contract. The positions support the US Air Force Research Lab and candidates with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and Systems Modeling Language (SysML) experience are highly encouraged to apply. These positions require on-site work.
- Identifying and modeling organizations, capabilities, resources, and business processes.
- Analyzes complex local and wide area network systems, customer topology, ports, and protocols to recreate logical diagrams, with thorough understanding of system interfaces and data exchanges.
- Familiarity with data architecture, data dictionaries, and data constructs.
- Experience with business analysis, system and software requirements, DoD cybersecurity policy and strategy, flowcharting, and software development artifacts.
- Experience with ARIS Architect software to design, model and optimize business processes is required.
- Ability to lead workshops with both customers and co-workers, participate in reviews, and present work artifacts with a strict adherence to architecture standards and styles.
- Prior military experience is a plus and a diverse familiarity with supply, logistics, aircraft, maintenance, and personnel/human resources.
About this Contract: Bowhead provides Enterprise and System Architecture Support to the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Gunter Annex in Montgomery, Alabama. The AFLCMC/GBE Enterprise Architecture Services Group encompass the following disciplines within architecture: application or solution architecture, data architecture, and architecture maintenance.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Sciences, IT, or business; experience can substitute for degree requirements.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience is required for a principal level position, of which can include business analyses and software development.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required for a senior level position, of which can include business analyses and software development.
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
