Job description
Loca tion: Northern Rhode Island
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Oversee staff within the Mobile Crisis Team and Ambulatory Detox Team.
- Provide supervision for clinical, peer, and outreach staff and ensure staff are following procedure and protocols.
- Work closely with Mobile Crisis/Emergency Services Directors to facilitate in program implementation and documentation oversight.
- Provide mobile crisis intervention and referral to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis after hours and weekends.
- Coordinate with First Responders in the community when responding to individuals in need of emergency psychiatric intervention.
- Coordinate with local police, EMS, and fire departments.
- Complete all required paperwork.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in a human services field.
- QMHP preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community mental health, CSU, substance use treatment, or inpatient psychiatric care.
- Minimum of 1 year overseeing staff and providing necessary supervision.
- Employee will assume full responsibilities for the cost and efforts of maintaining any and all forms of licensure, certification, and credentialing documentation as required in their job description or sites on any Action Form as a qualification for hiring, job, promotion or monetary increase. Subsequently, the employee will adhere to the credentialing requirements of all insurance/funding sources for which they qualify and provide Human Resources and/or the credentialing specialist with the initial required documentation (licenses, liability, insurance policies, DEA numbers, etc. ) and all renewals of these documents thereafter.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to use own car to travel.
- Be comfortable working with First responders.
- Must be able to work independently and make sound clinical decisions and be able to meet the clients in their home.
