Job description

Job Overview: The Women in Action Coordinator will implement IRC’s Women in Action Program that aims to bridge gender gaps in program outcomes for women through targeted interventions that address the specific needs of women. Using a trauma informed approach, the Women in Action Coordinator will provide group workshops for women to learn and build capacity in key areas including safety, health, economic wellbeing, and power. The Women in Action Coordinator will collaborate with subject matter experts from within IRC and from the local community as guest speakers for workshops and will build a network of resources for clients.

The Women in Action Coordinator will be responsible for documenting program outcomes and assisting the Economic Empowerment Program Manager with researching funding opportunities to expand programming. Additionally, the Women in Action Coordinator will be responsible for managing volunteers.

Major Responsibilities:

Education: Relevant degree or equivalent professional and/or lived experience

Job Requirements:

Work Experience: Minimum 2-4 yrs. progressive work experience in social work or relevant field

Standard, professional office environment (flexible remote and in-office)
