Job description

We are seeking a Vice President of Marketing to join our senior leadership team. This key role is charged with crafting and leading a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to fuel consistent business growth, elevate our brand recognition, and increase visibility. The ideal candidate will spearhead marketing efforts across the organization, guiding the planning, execution, and management of our marketing initiatives to achieve our goals of profitability, market visibility, and leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

Vision, Strategy, and Leadership:

Develop and drive an integrated marketing and communications plan to refresh our brand identity, amplify awareness of our offerings, and enhance visibility across targeted markets.
Craft a marketing/public relations strategy to foster and strengthen high-value relationships with external audiences, including media and key influencers.
Identify emerging challenges and opportunities, collaborating with the leadership and staff to pinpoint and implement effective marketing and communications strategies.
Shape our messaging and value proposition to assert market and thought leadership, thereby boosting revenue and market presence.
Act as the go-to expert for marketing and communications, both within and outside the organization, and serve as the primary media liaison.
Operations:

Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, IT/R&D, and other vital departments to devise and execute potent go-to-market strategies.
Utilize marketing trends and customer insights to attract new customers and enrich relationships with existing ones.
Oversee the development of all marketing materials, including digital content, website, event materials, and social media presence.
Strategize event participation to optimize speaking opportunities and showcase customer successes.
Manage relationships with vendors and third-party agencies.

Team Development/Management:

Lead the Marketing Department's daily operations, including budgeting, planning, and team development.
Hire and oversee marketing staff to fulfill the marketing and communications strategy.
Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, emphasizing learning and adherence to our core values.
Mentor and develop team members with a supportive, collaborative approach.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Proven expertise in managing a broad range of marketing and communications initiatives, with a focus on media relations and operational marketing to further our objectives.
Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships to achieve profitability and visibility goals.
Innovative mindset with a history of translating strategic concepts into actionable plans and results.
Experience in leading, mentoring, and coaching a marketing team.
Exceptional judgment, creativity in problem-solving, and abilities in negotiation and conflict resolution.
Strong leadership skills with the capacity to motivate and engage teams.
Strategic and tactical thinking with the ability to foresee and adapt to evolving environments.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in engaging with senior management, teams, and clients.
High energy, adaptability, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach.

Education/Experience:

Minimum 7-8 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a preference for backgrounds in public relations, advertising, and digital media.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related field is essential; an MBA is preferred.
Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
