Job description
One of our clients is looking for a Materials Coordinator to work on a 1-year long-term contract in Midland, TX.
The materials coordinator provides support to the area maintenance organization in ordering, receiving, kitting and storing of material. Order the materials utilizing best practices and maintains records/documentation for each specific request.
• Call for pricing and availability.
• Begin ordering process as soon as practical.
• Question amounts and units of measure (e.g., 5 gallons or 5 barrels).
• Be clear on timing for parts delivery.
• Communicate to the vendor and/or Client Procurement Buyers regarding material specifications and timing requirements as needed.
• Contact Vendor with new information, clarify company needs. • Arrange for prompt delivery service.
• Communicate back to customer.
• Provide information to the customer.
• Identifying materials to be ordered.
• Use materials (catalogs, etc.) to ensure proper terminology of items.
• Find symbol numbers from supplied description.
• Ensure site procurement data is updated Provide material order status when requested.
