Job description
We are seeking a Labor and Employment Associate to join our Am Law 200 firm. If you have at least 4 years of experience and are looking to join a team to help you build your practice, we want to talk to you!
We are growing and are looking to add to either our Hartford or Stamford office locations. As one of 2024's best law firms to work for, we know that our success is directly tied to the support of our team members. The Labor and Employment team is dedicated to offering a wide range of employment law services on the state and federal level. Our attorneys have experience in guiding and representing our clients in many industries related to employee benefits, labor, and employment.You will be focusing your practice on compliance, litigation, training, counseling, workplace investigations, and representation before federal and state agencies on all labor matters. You will be using your understanding of CT federal and state law to advise our clients on all matter of compliance, employee benefits, wage issues, antidiscrimination laws, non-compete agreements, contract admin, employee communications, unfair labor practice claims, training ect. We expect our associates to meet a minimum of 1800 billable hours.
In order to be successful in this role you will need at least 4 years of experience in a wide range of industries and be barred in CT. You must have excellent skills in legal research, strong understanding of CT federal/state procedural and evidentiary rules, be able to work directly with clients, and assist with supervising jr. staff and associates.
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $160k-$220k annually. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan. This is a HYBRID position where you can come into the office 2-4 times per week.
