Job description
Assist in all aspects of Printing and Mailing operations—including set-up and operation of multiple pieces of printing and mailing equipment. Assist in the development of direct mail pieces utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite. Maintain accurate production and financial record keeping.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $19.90 - $24.88 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, department staff, and the department manager on incoming jobs ensuring paperwork is filled out properly. Assist in the completion of all deliverables with attention to postal regulations and mail piece design.
- Utilize the Adobe Creative Suite to produce and/or manipulate design files, address data, and key data fields by mapping addresses and personal data to output graphics creating individualized personal mail pieces ready to print. Triage graphic print files for compatibility with desired output specifications. Manipulate and layout graphic files as needed before output.
- Use proprietary software to set up and operate multiple high-speed color digital printers.
- Set up and operate equipment utilized in completing print projects (cutters, folders, booklet-makers).
- Operate mailing software and hardware required in the preparation of outgoing mail and parcels, ensuring mail and parcels are prepared following UPS and US Postal Service regulations.
- Use the PrintSmith print management database to create job estimates and new work orders, research existing orders, and review the history of completed orders.
- Troubleshoot machinery or call appropriate vendors to schedule maintenance or repair.
- Ensure data security, accuracy, and confidentiality of mailings and packages

Requirements
- High school diploma and three to five years of experience in a printing, mailing, or graphic arts environment with a focus on digital production and output methods.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- Proficient with Windows and Mac based software applications, Microsoft Office products, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a part of a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of the United States Postal Service classifications and procedures, and familiarity with
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds several times a day and push and pull 75 pounds; requires frequent periods of standing, bending, twisting, and reaching.
