Job Duties

The Department of Urology at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking a Urologist to join our group at Geisinger in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The program is excited to welcome an additional Urologist to join over 20 general and subspecialty fellowship trained urologists providing urologic care system-wide. Urologic subspecialty interest can be supported in the context of a general urology position.

Position Highlights:

This is an ideal opportunity for a urologist seeking a desirable work/life balance with a focus on providing excellent patient care. There is also opportunity to participate in clinical research and teach residents from our fully accredited urology program.

Candidates must be eligible for certification by the American Board of Urology. Applicants must possess a strong commitment to high quality patient care and resident and medical student education.

Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) is a great place to live with an affordable cost of living and access to recreational activities, an International Airport, sporting events, ski resorts, and fine dining. The community has 9 Universities and Graduate Institutions in the immediate area plus excellent public and private schools. NEPA is close to New York City and Philadelphia (giving you access to major cities) the beach and the Pocono Mountains.

Position Details

A urologist manages benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the genitourinary system and the adrenal glands. This specialist has comprehensive knowledge of and skills in endoscopic, percutaneous and open surgery of congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems and their contiguous structures.

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)

Experience

Certification(s) and License(s)

Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
