Job description

Industrial Painter

Day shift 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

-Complete and maintain paperwork per job per customer

-Paint and/or blast 

-Fill out job cards and paint logs daily

Required skills and experience:

-Must be able to wear respirator while painting/blasting at all times

-Must have supervisory skills and be able to solve problems related to blasting, painting and materials

-Must have 3-5 years of prior industrial painting/blasting with supervisory experience, including zinc primer, epoxys, enamels and polyurethanes

-Must be able to read a tape measure, mil gauge and blueprints

Must have 3-5 industrial painting experience, with supervisory experience
* Hold or position spray guns to direct spray onto articles.
* Clean equipment and work areas.
* Record operational data on specified forms.
* Mix paints to match color specifications or original colors, stirring or thinning paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
* Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
* Sand and apply sealer to properly dried finish.
