POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager is responsible for the seamless process of customer orders from the time received to time shipped, ensuring effective collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator, Purchasing, and Operation teams leading to total customer satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Creates sales orders within 24 hours for all new orders received from customers.
- Ensures accuracy on pricing for all orders.
- Creates containers in xTuple; keeps White Board current with accurate load/ship dates.
- Ensures all customer lead times are maintained consistently.
- Work with the Logistics team on all transportation needs & container bookings & container live loads & dispatch.
- Work with the Purchasing team to ensure all customer lead times are maintained.
- Utilize ASANA for tracking of orders & internal communication.
- Addresses email requests from customers, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Daily follow ups on unresolved tasks to maintain 100% fill rate.
- Maintains 99% accuracy on all customer accounts
- Utilizes job knowledge to resolve problems; suggests strategic order processing opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
- Resolves customers' claims by researching and working with supporting teams.
- Will backup other Account Managers desk as needed.
- If assigned Coastal Pacific Account - will process containers in Coastal' s DSS System.
- Must reconcile customers consolidated inventory weekly.
- Strictly adheres to Richmond Wholesale's employment policies, departmental operating policies, and all federal and state regulatory and compliance laws pertaining to our business and industry.
- Actively maintains a collaborative spirit/dialogue with other departments and Associates to promote workplace harmony and productivity, embracing and fostering the Company's mission.
QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: - Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Skills needed
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required as well as Asana
ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB Communication and Comprehension - Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write grammatically correct English in order to convey messages and correspond articulately and professionally.
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Richmond Wholesale to a variety of business, government and community customers and associates.
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and have consistent and disciplined follow through.
Problem Solving - Able to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic math functions
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
- Must be able to work under stress, presenting a calm professional demeanor at all times.
Physical and Sensory Abilities - Required to travel locally and outside the local area.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform desk work or type on a keyboard.
- Regularly required to hear and speak to communicate orally effectively.
- Required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the facilities.
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment The work environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements Use of one's personal vehicle (or Richmond Wholesale vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid California driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
