Job description
We are seeking a skilled and registered Nuclear Technician to join our Nuclear Medicine team. As a Registered Nuclear Technician you will play a key role in performing nuclear medicine procedures operating imaging equipment and ensuring the accurate and safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities:
- Nuclear Medicine Procedures:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone scans cardiac studies and PET scans.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Radiopharmaceutical Administration:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following established protocols.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.
- Imaging Equipment Operation:
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with the radiology team to troubleshoot and address equipment issues.
- Patient Care:
- Provide patient care and ensure patient comfort during nuclear medicine procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns or questions.
- Quality Control:
- Perform quality control tests on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Minimum of X years of experience in nuclear medicine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Skills:
- Proficiency in performing nuclear medicine procedures
- Excellent knowledge of radiopharmaceutical administration
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
