Job description

We are seeking a skilled and registered Nuclear Technician to join our Nuclear Medicine team. As a Registered Nuclear Technician you will play a key role in performing nuclear medicine procedures operating imaging equipment and ensuring the accurate and safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities:

• Nuclear Medicine Procedures:
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone scans cardiac studies and PET scans.
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Radiopharmaceutical Administration:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following established protocols.
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate care.
• Imaging Equipment Operation:
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
  • Collaborate with the radiology team to troubleshoot and address equipment issues.
• Patient Care:
  • Provide patient care and ensure patient comfort during nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns or questions.
• Quality Control:
  • Perform quality control tests on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
• State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Minimum of X years of experience in nuclear medicine
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Skills:

• Proficiency in performing nuclear medicine procedures
• Excellent knowledge of radiopharmaceutical administration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
