About the Role:

Aquila is seeking a Software Programmer  to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The group specializes in the rapid design and prototyping of innovative electro-optic systems that address challenges facing the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, and other U.S. government entities. The group maintains broad expertise in satellite systems, electro-optical and infrared sensors, charge-coupled devices, electronics, image processing, and low–size/weight/power optical communications systems. The vertically integrated group leverages this core expertise to architect, design, prototype, and deploy hardware and software systems in support of mission needs. Emphasis is on working closely with end users to develop enabling concepts, then building and fielding integrated systems on responsive timelines.

The group is in need of a Software Programmer in support of these prototyping efforts. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter, able to work individually, or within a group to achieve program goals and objectives, under the direction of the technical project manager. Problem-solving ability is critical.

Our Perks Include:

Location: Lexington, MA

Work Schedule: This position is HYBRID. The individual will be required to be onsite 3 days a week. Candidates are expected to be local at the time of the start of the assignment.. Must be within a commutable distance from Lexington, MA.

Clearance: Candidates should have an active clearance (secret/top secret, etc.) in order to be considered for this position due to the nature of the work being done.
