Job description
A company with over 100 years of producing gourmet food products is looking for a kitchen operator. They are all about tradition and quality, from Peanut Butter to Chocolates and Zestos, corn chips, they deliver nationwide. Description:
· Measuring and mixing by hand.
· Learn to operate all of the nut roasting and candy cooking equipment.
· You will be trained to perform caramel cooking, candy making, and nut roasting operations.
· Operate and troubleshoot food processing equipment.
· Tear down and inspect equipment.
· Follow all OSHA, FDA, safety, and sanitation requirements.
· Assist on packing lines and assist with directing the work of others.
· Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment following food safety regulations.
· 4-day work week with some overtime required in November and December.
· Very clean and air-conditioned environment.
· Pay starts at $20 and will progress as each skill is learned.
· Please note that the facility handles peanuts. Candidates with peanut allergies should be aware of this before applying.
Requirements:
· Stand all day with minimal sitting.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Must have a food industry background in the manufacturing field.
· Possess equipment operating experience in manufacturing/production setting.
· Must be available between 5am-4:30pm Monday – Thursdays. Occasional Friday/Saturday during peak demand period.
· Forklift experience preferred.
