Job description

Reports to: SVP, IM Operations

 

Functions Supervised: IM Operations Engineering team

 

Primary Functions: Manage and be accountable for the staff, day-to-day operations, and strategic vision of the IM Operations Engineering teams. Also responsible for a high degree of system reliability, performance, environmental health, end user experience and developer productivity through continuous analysis and improvement of the credit unions infrastructure.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Engage, influence, and evangelize Site Reliability, Artificial Intelligence and Self-Healing Automation practices with end user, operational and product groups to align technology with end user experience and product delivery.
  2. Drive quality accountability within the organization with well-defined processes, metrics, and goals for monitoring, reaction, and environmental stability and user experience.
  3. Work with product development teams and other stakeholders to create and implement automated solutions that assure stability and acceptable performance of new and changing development initiatives prior to and after production deployment.
  4. Continually improve environmental monitoring governance and framework for alerting and response.
  5. Develop, maintain, and socialize strategic plans and budget for the health and effectiveness of the environmental monitoring program using current and trending technologies.
  6. Promote a healthy and functional work environment where high functioning engineers and all stakeholders feel comfortable communicating ideas, concepts, and challenges in an open and trusting environment.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field. Masters degree preferred.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Demonstratable 10 years of management experience working in large, complex systems environments.


Experience/Skills: Must possess significant and in-depth understanding of Networking, Server, Cloud, SaaS, PaaS and Desktop technologies and services. Excellent written and verbal communication with users, employees, and management. Experience with cutting edge automation technologies and environmental monitoring programs required. Excellent time management, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills. High level of emotional intelligence and ability to socialize ideas and concepts required.

IM Operations Engineering Manager (Category 05)

 

Salary Pay Range: $99,419 - $173,070 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
