Job description

CMC is recruiting another Hem/Onc due to patient need and expansion . They currently have 2 oncologists and are looking for a 3 rd and ultimately a 4 th . The goal is to have 4 full time providers in the group.

Candidate Parameters: Fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in hematology/oncology. 2022 candidates accepted as well as those currently practicing. J1 and H1B candidates accepted.

Joining CMC Cancer Center (Employed with Physicians Network Services) :

• Najla Itani (Originally from Lebanon)
• Nishitha Thumallapally (Originally from India) Joined in 2019
• 2 NPs (14+ Years of Experience)

• Other Provders in the Community:
  • Coastal Cancer Center (5 Physicians)
  • Associated Medical Specialists (1 Physician)

Typical Schedule:

• Full time position Monday thru Friday
• 36 Patient Contact Hours 4 Admin Hours/week
• 1 Hour New Patient Visits; 30/45 Minutes Follow Up
• 1:3 Call Consult Only Service - No Admissions (Goal is to be 1:4 ultimately.)

• Taken in 1-week blocks?

• Rounding the physicians typically have 1 week blocks (3 -5 consults a week) in the hospital. Consults and rounding a done by the physician on call. 

Scope of Practice:

• 40% Hematology and 60% Oncology
• Each physician has their own designated RN for support

Imagining:

• 3T (Tesla) / 1.5T (Tesla) / 256 slice
  • 16 slice CT slice (3)
  • 80 slice CT + Digital x-ray + 2 more Hologic imaging 3D tomosynthesis, ultrasound (West Conway 2023), eventually 1.5T MRI
• Breast Hologic imaging 3D tomosynthesis
  • Hologic is known for womens imagining
• Nuclear Med
  • Spec CT Heart Imagining (only in the area)
• Interventional Rad
  • All interventional services expect cerebral
  • Lumbar punctures
• Bone biopsy performed in CT
• PET scanner Friday and Saturday weekly
• All ultrasound is Cannon equipment (bought out Toshiba Co.)
• Radiologist (private team) prefer CMC over all competitor in the market, even send their families here for services.

Physicians Network Services (PNS) CMC Physician Group

• 105+ providers multiple specialists and primary care
• 26 Outpatient Office Network (14 PCP and 12 Specialty Clinics)
• Service Area Coverage from Murrells Inlet to North Myrtle Beach
• PNS has experienced huge growth over the last couple of years and minimal turnover, including adding a new orthopedic surgery group.

Financial Package/Benefits:

• Base Salary (Typically MGMA Median) Plus WRVU Bonuses
