Job description
Kelaca is seeking a Front-End Software Developer to work with our client partner in Reston, VA. The Company’s Software Enterprise Division (SED) is seeking a driven Front-End Software Developer who will have the opportunity to develop against a wide range of technologies and use cases but will primarily be focused on front-end developers. As part of the team, the Developer will be part of a team that is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems.
As a valued member of their team, the Front-End Software Developer will:
- Develop front-end technology solutions using Angular to create both new solutions and modernize existing solutions.
- Collaborate horizontally and vertically across multiple teams to create solutions that empower the customer to mission success.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to leadership on technologies, implementations, and strategies for modern, web-hosted software applications.
- Solve challenging, real-world problems for customers.
Front-End Software Developer Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Due to the work you will perform and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs, a TS security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with 5-7 years relevant work experience OR MS with 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Relocation to Reston, VA.
- Minimal travel to support customer and client meetings.
- Experience with at least one modern web user interface framework (e.g., Angular, React) and comfortable implementing both quick-turnaround proof-of-concept solutions and high quality, production-level solutions in that framework.
- Experience with at least one modern software development ecosystem, such as Python, and comfortable implementing quick-turnaround, proof-of-concept solutions in that ecosystem.
- Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Front-End Software Developer Preferences:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.
- Master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Status. (e.g., Security+, CSSP, etc.)
- Experience with large Angular applications.
- Experience working in secure/air-gapped environments.
- Experience working in cloud and/or hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with software design patterns.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Security Clearance Requirements:
The projects that will be assigned involve government work and US Citizenship is required. Selected applicant are required to come in with a Top Secret Security Clearance with he ability to obtain SCI status.

Job Type: Full-time
Hours of On-Site Work: Monday-Friday; 8 am - 5 pm
FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt
