Job Title: Social Media Specialist & Administrative Assistant

We are gearing up to open our inaugural retail space in Edina, and we are inviting passionate individuals to join our dynamic team. We are currently on the lookout for a versatile Social Media Specialist and Administrative Assistant.
Job Responsibilities:
This is a position for a detail-oriented and creative individual with a great design aesthetic. As a new business, the right candidate will be comfortable wearing a few hats while maintaining a high level of organization and is willing to roll up their sleeves, pitch in and assist where needed. Anticipate spending approximately 20 hours per week on social media management and 20 hours per week on administrative and database support.
Strategic Social Media Management:
- Cultivate a deep understanding of our brand to provide consistent messaging, alignment with our values, and to curate a visually captivating digital experience with The June House on social media.
- Utilize your expertise to grow and engage our online community, developing and executing content strategies that reflect our brand identity and enhance our digital presence.
- Bring your juicy creativity to create a stand out social media presence for The June House that our community delights in and engages with.
Efficient Product Database Management:
- Oversee the input and organization of new products into our database, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Create compelling product names and descriptions that enhance the brand and delight our clients.
- Craft clear and engaging narratives for each product, weaving a rich tapestry of story and ethos.
- Work collaboratively with the owner to spotlight the inspiration and craftsmanship behind our furniture.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the owner as needed, which may include bill pay, spreadsheet generation and maintenance, clerical tasks, correspondence with vendors and clients, and other tasks as needed.
- Contribute to operational assignments vital for the establishment and success of our new retail space and warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management and growing an engaged following on Instagram.
- Possesses an enchanting visual aesthetic.
- Strong copywriting skills, creating compelling and clear content.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite and adaptable to new tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
