Job description

Responsible for selling Company products to a specific account base while maintaining customer satisfaction through establishing relationships with the manufacturing sectors as a liaison for sales. This position significantly impacts Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company’s ability to be competitive in the areas of sales, quality, delivery, cost and growth while ensuring safe and environmentally friendly work settings.

• Direct sales responsibility by establishing contact to develop relationships with prospects; quoting orders, develop samples and coordinating pricing communications.
• Customer Service responsibilities which include order entry, order conformation, rectify invoicing discrepancies, and convey customer concerns to appropriate plant, or sales representative.
• Maintain broad knowledge of the products manufactured by organizational operations as well as customer products and processes in order to contribute to the customer’s product development needs
• Effectively use internal billing and cost systems
• Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams; credit, customer service, pattern management, QC, shipping and administration to proactively communicate and address customer needs and special requests
• Expected to receive customer orders, enter into JDE when needed, route orders to appropriate plant, and monitor EDI/ASN.
• Implement special programs by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables and facilitating corrections to technical malfunctions
• Maintain a professional and technical knowledge by establishing a rapport with customers and manufacturing to provide support, information, and guidance; research and recommend new opportunities with service improvements within established manufacturing safety guidelines.
• Keep customers informed on new products and other general information of interest
• Remain well versed in market trends, industry goals and customer service strategies
• Deal with all aspects of customer service including investigating complaints, establishing shipping dates, etc.
• Validate pricing on PO’s, maintain, and provide pricing to sales team and customers when requested.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; benchmarking professional standards; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks
• Monitor all internal systems for accuracy and compliance while insuring the disciplines necessary to achieve Company goals, strategic plans and expectations
• Other duties as deemed necessary by management
