Job description
Seeking experienced professionals with Controller level expertise for clients here in the Metro Detroit area to be engaged on interim contract, consulting and/or project basis. Please reply to this posting to discuss further details.
Objectives/Responsibilities May Include: - Complete month-end close including bank and account reconciliations, intercompany transitions and accruals and manage revenue recognition
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L and Statement of Cash Flows
- Perform financial analysis including variance, trend, and cash flow as required
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including budget to actual and budget to forecast analysis
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Review internal audit schedules and support external audit reviews
- Prepare and/or present financial reports to leadership as necessary
- Review and implement accounting procedures, policies, and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications/Preferred Skill - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Seven plus years progressive accounting and/or finance experience
- MBA, professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) preferred
- Proven experience with GAAP and/or IFRS standards preferred
