Job description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Estimator who is knowledgeable in HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical Piping, and CAD. The ideal candidate should also have a deep understanding of reading blueprints, cost estimation software, and be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite. The successful candidate will have strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work within strict time constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize blueprints, sketches, design data, and specifications to accurately estimate the cost of a project
- Identify and analyze project requirements, risks, and materials to determine cost
- Develop and submit detailed scope of work documents to the customer
- Analyze bids, negotiate prices and terms, and recommend awards with accurate financial information and cost trends
- Provide project status reports to management on a regular basis
- Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Estimating, mechanical estimating, HVAC, Plumbing, or Mechanical Piping
- Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and cost estimation software
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work within strict deadlines
- Strong communication and time management skills
