Reporting to the PR Manager, this position will help increase the value and awareness of all Folio Fine Wine Partners family, partner and agency brands by assisting in executing PR strategies and programs.  Areas of responsibility include helping with sample shipments to press, maintaining shared internal PR assets, overseeing and executing the POS program, and assisting with events.

Brand Plan & Execution 35%

Assist with execution of press sample shipment programs.  This includes to order, pack and ship all sample requests.  Track all shipments, log sample submissions results, and maintain affiliated spreadsheets and databases for company use.
Assist PR Manager in preparation of business reviews or presentations. Including, but not limited to, media relations updates, sample send recaps and coverage received as a result of media activities. Together with the PR Manager, plan and execute brand and trade events and provide onsite support.
Assist PR Manager in analyzing competition submissions and completing award entries and fulfillment in a timely manner.

Media Relations 25%
Act as supporting contact point for media and scoring publication tasting staff and editors.
Assist PR Manager with drafting press materials, including press releases, media advisories and pitch letters as needed.
General support to internal and external customers, fulfilling requests for images, headshots, bios, pricing, availability, contacts, etc. 
Act as media contact point for Company in absence of PR Manager as required.

Admin & Reporting 25 %
Compile, log and communicate all press news according to the PR strategy and procedures to internal stakeholders and suppliers on an ongoing basis.
Manage and maintain PR assets and content on internal shared database, including uploading of photos, videos, presentations, etc…, as required.
Assist in maintaining media and influencer contact database.
Manage the wine closet inventory for PR requirements at Folio HQ.

Supplier Relations and Corporate Reputation 15%
Liaise with supplier contacts and internal stakeholders as required regarding public relations and scoring submission strategy.
Provide suppliers with timely media coverage and scores when published, ensuring suppliers and Folio team is up to date on coverage.
Travel for press appointments, market support, and other miscellaneous needs. Represent Folio in a professional and educated manner to all internal and external stakeholders.  
Education / Experience:  College Degree in PR/journalism, communications or related field.  Minimum 2-4 years public relations & or media/journalism experience preferred. Wine, food or hospitality experience a plus.

Skills:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes. Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint and research skills. Exceptional people skills, self-motivated with excellent attention to detail, ability to problem-solve, and work unsupervised to meet deadlines.

Knowledge:  Basic understanding of media function and dynamic environment. Motivation to learn elements of wine including, but not limited to, wine tasting, wine regions and key media players. Sound knowledge of marketing fundamentals and familiarity with Cision database a plus.

Sound understanding of social media content creation and influencer engagement, along with familiarity with HeyOrca a plus.

Physical:  Ability to sit at a computer 6+ hours a day, stand for periods of up to 3 hours in a day, lift and carry 40 lbs. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days a week at the Napa Headquarters and travel as required for events.
