As a Swim Instructor or Aquatics Lead at British Swim School, you will be entrusted with teaching swimming to a diverse age group starting from 3 months old. Our unique teaching methodology is fun, gentle, and progressive, designed to instill confidence in both the instructor and the learners. Your role is vital in providing life-saving swim techniques and embodying our mission to significantly reduce drowning incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons following the British Swim School curriculum to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
- Availability to work weekday afternoons and evenings, weekend mornings, and during holidays as required.
- Ongoing maintenance of relevant certifications.
- Adapt to a working environment with moderate to high noise levels and the ability to remain in water for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or current enrollment.
- A vibrant and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Comfort in water, with strong swimming skills being advantageous.
- Commitment to maintaining certifications throughout employment.
- Completion of all British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional and responsible attitude.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in working with children and adults.
- 1-2 years of swimming experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certifications are advantageous (available through training).
Work Locations: Katy, Cinco Ranch, or Fulshear areas.
