Perimeter is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to be responsible for providing nursing staffing and support for CNO functions for the Dallas Facility. Staffing Coordinator is also responsible for the following job duties:
SCHEDULING PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide daily staffing of all Nursing staff, managing core schedules, keeping up with all vacancies and communicating what the needs are.
- Process PTO requests, denials and ensure coverage for employees taking PTO.
- Managing Overtime
- Process call ins/absences and ensure coverage (including night and weekend shifts)
- Ensure training/orientation of Nursing staff is current.
- Ensure employee training certificates are up to date.
- Produce daily staffing sheets and store past daily sheets.
- FTE Management, utilizing appropriate staffing grid.
- Review staffing with CNO to ensure adherence to staffing grid and safety.
- Updating Shift Hound daily to accurately reflect census at the start of each shift for each unit. Update employee clock in/out times in Shift Hound if different from originally scheduled shift (i.e. employee only works half the shift or left early, etc.)
- Tracking employee attendance and time sheets via Kronos and notifying CNO when number of occurrences require corrective action/coaching, per policy. Also notifying IC of any call ins related to illness of any sort.
- Sending out shift hound messages (per CNO request, i.e. "all staff reminders")
- Scheduling mandatory staff meetings or individual meetings with staff per CNO request (i.e. to complete employee evaluations, corrective actions, coaching's, etc.)
- Maintain up to date and accurate nursing staff phone lists.
NURSING SUPPLIES PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Nursing Supply inventory
- Organization and upkeep of central supply areas
- Ordering of all nursing supplies online through contracted vendor account
- Long-term goal/project: Assisting with the implementation of a barcode system for more efficient management of supplies and inventory.
- Ensure unit supply areas are stocked.
- Monitoring expiration dates of supplies and disposing as appropriate.
- Lab supplies
- Other duties as assigned include, but not limited to, phlebotomy services when needed i.e. multiple unsuccessful sticks, hard sticks, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Knowledge of all code procedures
- Knowledge of personnel procedures and all legal requirements such as FLSA, FMLA and EEOC.
- Knowledge of joint commission, state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of computers and business software applications.

- Skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS - Ability to work a 40-hour week and some overtime as needed.
- Ability to sit for long periods, up to 8 hours.
- Ability to use both hands in fine and gross manipulation of small tools (copier, computer, telephone, calculator, safe, facsimile machine).
- Ability to push and pull up to 10 lbs. (File cabinet drawers, computer paper boxes).
- Ability to see well enough to read handwritten material.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds dead weight to move transfer file boxes, data processing paper and supplies.
- Ability to retrieve files from bottom shelves and drawers and the ability to move boxes of paper and forms to the computer printer and supplies.
- Ability to reach, turn and twist above and below the waist daily to retrieve files from top shelves to get office supplies from upper shelves in supply closet and nursing supply area.
- Ability to stand and walk daily to retrieve forms/supplies for other departments.
- Ability to hear and speak well enough to answer and communicate on the facility switchboard, if required to do so.
- Ability to spend 10% of working time outside in temperature varying from -0oF to 110oF.
- Ability to spend 90% working time in environment of continuous moderate voices and office machine noise typical for business office atmosphere.
- Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks.
