We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to participate in a multi-year HR rotational program. Reporting to the HR Director, the rotation will kick off at our plant in Tempe, AZ where you will spend 12 months providing expertise and consultation in the areas of workforce planning, employee engagement and retention, talent development, coaching, as well as support multiple people initiatives throughout the year. Each rotation will last approximately 12 months and will reside at several Medtronic sites within the U.S..
The Medtronic Tempe Campus ( MTC ) is a medical device manufacturing and technology development center; specializing in micro-electronics and sensors, responsible for helping patients through the anticipation, development & manufacture of solutions that matter.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
+ Act as HR single point of contact and business partner for assigned client groups.
+ Serve in a project management role for key initiatives and assume full accountability for project deliverables.
+ Implement and execute HR strategies.
+ Consult with plant people leaders to devise people solutions that align with business needs and drive improved performance.
+ Lead and execute organization wide initiatives.
+ Participate in developing processes for assessing organizational strengths and opportunities and for recommending organizational solutions (e.g. organizational design, talent development, change management).
+ Partner with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) on talent acquisition efforts, employee relations initiatives, compensation, talent development and more.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years relevant HR experience, OR an advanced degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant HR experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Prior HR Generalist experience with in-depth knowledge of all functional areas of HR.
+ Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience working in a business that operates 24/7.
+ Knowledge of HR practices, techniques, and standards.
+ Experience with change management techniques to successfully implement and sustain change.
+ Lean Sigma experience.
+ Project Management Professional ( PMP ) certification.
+ Professional Human Resources Certification ( SHRM -CP, SHRM - SCP , PHR , SPHR ).
+ Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced business with evolving priorities.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
