Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate should have experience with employee management, irrigation repair, disease identification, water management, pesticide/fertility calibration and application, as well as overall knowledge of golf course equipment and their proper uses.
Requirements:
Two- or Four-year degree in a turf-related field.
One to two years as an Assistant Superintendent.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Fertilizer and Pesticide Licenses
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
Knowledge of the game of golf and ability to play.
Obtain a Maryland State Pesticide Applicator License (3-C, Turf) & Maryland State Fertilizer Applicator License within 90 days of hire.
Compensation:
$65,000 – $80,000 per year.
