What We're Looking For:
PSQ Productions is currently sourcing for a Director of Event Sales to join our team in our Irvine office. You will be instrumental in driving business growth and revenue for our live events company. Your role will involve identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and securing sponsorships, vendor relations, and VIP experiences. Additionally, you will spearhead initiatives to expand our portfolio and optimize revenue streams, including group sales management.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new event opportunities, venues, and potential sponsorships to expand revenue streams.
- Conduct market research to uncover emerging trends, untapped markets, and business prospects.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of leads through effective networking and relationship building.
- Create and submit proposals for RFQs and RFPs with potential clients and cities to secure business collaborations.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations to secure new ventures.
Sales Management:
- Cultivate existing client relationships while seeking new accounts to meet revenue targets.
- Close sales by understanding client needs, negotiating terms, and finalizing contracts.
- Conduct regular meetings with potential clients and event planners to drive bookings.
- Analyze revenue forecasts and profit/loss to guide decision-making.
Group Sales Management:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive group sales revenue and achieve business objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, tour operators, schools, and other group organizers to generate sales leads and bookings.
- Coordinate logistics and communicate the setup and plan of group events, ensuring seamless coordination of activities, staffing, and resources.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for group clients throughout the event planning process, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in group sales and events.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics related to group sales activities.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, sponsors, vendors, and influencers.
- Collaborate with local influencers and businesses to enhance brand visibility and growth.
- Facilitate contract acquisition by leveraging relationships and market knowledge.
Innovative Revenue Generation:
- Identify opportunities within existing contracts and develop innovative revenue concepts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize resources and generate revenue streams.
- Explore creative partnerships and sponsor activations to enhance event experiences.
Project Management and Collaboration:
- Secure support for proposals and projects across departments to meet organizational goals.
- Oversee the execution of new business ideas, collaborating with teams for success.
- Assist in developing comprehensive business plans and projections.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
- Solicit feedback from clients and stakeholders for enhancing sales effectiveness.
- Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated track record in event sales including group sales, revenue generation, and fostering business relationships.
- Proven experience in driving sales and maximizing revenue in event production and management.
- Strong leadership skills to inspire teams and drive results in a sales-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain business relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on innovative approaches to drive event sales and revenue growth.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt sales strategies to changing market conditions.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools to optimize sales processes.
- Knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in event sales and revenue generation.
