Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring for a qualified Orthodontic Assistant to work in East Tucson, AZ , for a dental and orthodontic practice. Our client provides dental practice management services to over 120+ supported offices across the country. Their mission is to create a world of happy, healthy smiles by providing high-quality dental care in a fun, compassionate environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate records of patients' oral health histories and treatment progress.
- Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
- Keeping patients’ mouths dry during orthodontic procedures by using a suction hose as needed.
- Taking intraoral X-rays of patients’ mouths.
- Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and documenting patient progress.
- Taking dental molds of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers.
- Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands.
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- DA certification required.
- X-Ray Certification required.
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum of 6 months of Orthodontic Assistant experience required
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred
Job Details:
- Schedule: Full time schedule (40 hrs/week)-Days
- Salary-starting at $16/hour (based on experience)
