Job description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Planning and Zoning to lead our team in the beautiful City of Nacogdoches. As a key member of our city government, you will be responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating the operations of the Planning Services Department, including comprehensive planning, zoning, land use, and development regulation.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the compliance and enforcement of property maintenance codes and health inspections within the city limits, ensuring the physical development of the City is in line with our comprehensive plan. Your expertise will be utilized to perform professional reviews of zoning and development applications, administer and enforce zoning, subdivision, property maintenance, and health codes, and prepare operating and capital budgets, special reports, and studies.
