Job description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and support an application in real-time hot-hot high-availability fault tolerance system with large transaction volume. Provide end-to-end application support including designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, testing, and implementing merchant services payment application. Work with payment networks to understand business enhancements, map to technical specifications, and implement them in code. Work with business teams to understand business requirements and create high and low level design documents. Support teams in production research and provide on call support for resolving high priority issues. Support pre- and post-production deployments and installations. Support quality assurance in integration testing and user acceptance testing and validate results. Automate testing using automation scripts. Advise on fraud prevention capabilities using third party or in-house services. Build, enhance, and automate regression scripts, including converting age-old scripts to use new technologies. Re-architect legacy systems to enhance performance capabilities. Fine tune legacy systems to ensure better performance gains. Evaluate and deploy new technologies and build the design and architecture to move legacy systems and logic to new technology. Deliver product and improve quality and processes of payment solutions. Train new team members on application and technology. Participate in recruitment and cross team knowledge transfer sessions. Coordinate onshore and offshore teams to ensure agile best practices and participate in scrum meetings to ensure smooth transition between each phase of the software development life cycle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, IT Projects Manager or Associate, Programmer or Technical Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: one or more general purpose programming languages, such as C, Stratus PL, or Perl script; one or more advanced scripting languages, such as awk or sed; regular expression in scripts or regex in C; monitoring tools, such as SPLUNK; automation in Python; software skills, such as business analysis or software maintenance and improvement; software development on Stratus VOS platform; payment processing applications and platforms; and high volume, low latency and business critical applications.
Job Location: 3424 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30326. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.
