Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a well-established Non-Profit organization who is seeking an  Accounting Manager to join their team. As the Non-profit Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, grant reporting, and month-end close processes. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash.
• Oversee the preparation of grant budgets and financial reports for submission to funding agencies.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.
• Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of the organization's annual budget.
• Provide financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Collaborate with auditors during annual audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience with financial software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
