Connect Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Lead for a faucet company in the city of Huntington Beach, Ca
Schedule: Monday through Friday and Saturday availability as needed.
5:15AM-2:15 PM plus Overtime as needed
Requirements of a Shipping Lead:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- A sense of urgency and efficiency in all tasks.
- Ownership of all assigned areas of responsibility.
- Excellent time management skills; must be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy; must be able to recognize and resolve discrepancies.
- Commitment to building and developing a quality team. Ability to delegate and lead a multi-person team.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate people so as to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of lift trucks and machinery.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
- The ability to operate a forklift is required.

Responsibilities of a Shipping Lead:
- Pack orders in shipping cartons and prepare shipments for daily UPS and freight delivery.
- Communicate both verbally and via email with customer service team to provide order status information to customers.
- Interact directly with customers during will-call pickups.
- Distribute work among other shipping personnel to ensure efficient department operation.
- Identify customer orders ready to ship utilizing defined rules and inventory management systems.
- Gather finished goods from assembly personnel and stock items into inventory.
- Prepare shipping documents and schedule freight pick-ups as required.
- Route freight to provide the most economical transport of goods and meet customer requirements.
- Request freight quotes as necessary from established freight vendors.
- Prepare products, spare parts, return parts, and other items for shipment following established procedures for packaging, crating, boxing, bundling, wrapping, strapping, and labeling.
- Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.
- Verify receipt of purchased goods from suppliers, locate product, process paperwork and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures.
- Pick parts and products from appropriate inventory locations in specified quantities as necessary to fill orders by following established procedures.
- Cycle count inventory according to established guidelines and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems.
- Complete inventory transactions to receive and issue inventory as required.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move parts to proper locations and load and unload freight trucks as necessary.
- Prepare international shipments using UPS Worldship.
- Process shipments using Fedex online Ship Manager.
- Properly identify and locate all parts according to established procedures.
- Perform additional assignments per management direction.
