A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL EDUCATOR - SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

As a School Educator - Special Education Teacher, you create a motivating and stimulating environment for students! You enthusiastically provide daily written lesson plans in book form. In case of absence, you've got the book stored in an accessible location at the school. Throughout the year, you maintain progress scales and attend case conferences for each student. You also implement a behavioral system and necessary protocols as well as assure that accurate attendance records are maintained and submitted correctly at the end of the school year.

You attend various school-specific or parent meetings and submit monthly reports to the appropriate parties. You help to coordinate therapeutic activities for the students. To do so, you develop working relationships with assigned professionals. As needed, you also help organize and supervise extracurricular activities. Our student's best interests are always at the forefront of your mind, and it brings you great fulfillment to know you thrive in this teaching position in social services!
