Job description

DISHWASHER

ACCOUNTABILTY:

As a Dishwasher, you play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. You will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as keeping the kitchen area clean and organized. 

REPORTS TO AND IS SERVED BY: 

Food and Beverage Supervisor or General Manager

WHAT TO EXPECT

Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

Organization: Safely store clean dishes and utensils in their designated locations, ensuring they are readily available for kitchen and service staff.

Kitchen Cleaning: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down countertops and equipment.

Trash Removal: Empty and dispose of kitchen trash and recycling to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Assist Kitchen Staff: Support kitchen staff in various tasks, such as food preparation, as needed during peak periods.

Adherence to Standards: Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Efficiency: Work efficiently to keep up with the pace of the kitchen and dishwashing demands during busy service periods.

Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure a smooth operation. Other duties as assigned and supporting other departments when required.

Attend and participate in all property or department meetings as requested.

Obtain any required certifications and training necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.

TRAVEL:   NA

POSITION :  On-site work at the hotel property.
