Vaco is hiring an Assembly Technician located in Oakland Park, FL
This is an immediate direct hire opening.
Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM - 5 PM available for OT and working on Fridays or even weekends if necessary.
We are seeking someone with previous experience in assembly; working within a high paced environment that will be able to keep a professional communication with our engineering department.
Responsibilities - Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions; blueprint specifications; and bill of materials; gathering parts; sub-assemblies; tools; and materials.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Read; interpret; and follow basic blueprints; diagrams; engineering drawings; work orders; bills of materials; work instructions and other documents to accurately assemble products.
- Perform quality checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Routes; combs; twists; wraps; ties; and attaches wire to terminal points; according to jig board layout; using soldering gun and hand tools.
- Conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies; components; wire harness; and plugs; using ohmmeter; test lights; and other electrical testing instruments.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures; rules; and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by Lead/Manager
