Job description
Gridiron IT is seeking an HR Resource Employee Relations Manager local to Mclean, VA.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed.
- Work with benefit consultants to process benefit plans including medical, dental, disability, 401(k), and other optional benefit plans
- Manage the education and implementation of Open Enrollment
- Provide guidance to employees and coordinate with Supervisors and Accounting on FMLA, COBRA, Disability and Personal Time Off including vacation, personal leave, LWOP, jury duty, and bereavement leave
- Serve as Key contact with Trustee and 401(K) plan Sponsor for annual review and annual education for eligible employees
- Comply with 401(k) plan compliance responsibilities
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Responsible for the employee relations functions and administration of EEOC, Affirmative Action, Employee Counseling, investigations, discrimination, onboarding, terminations, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of five years of human resource management experience is required.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is highly desired.
