Associate Attorney - Wage & Hour / Employment, Defense

We are actively seeking an Associate Attorney to join a highly respected boutique defense law firm in the Rocklin, California area.

You will have the chance to work with a firm that specializes in labor & employment law, with a specific focus on serving high-value employers. This is an incredible opportunity to handle a wide range of challenging and impactful cases, including class actions, PAGA cases, wage and hour matters, administrative cases, as well as discrimination, retaliation, and harassment cases.

Wage & Hour / Employment Attorney, Defense | Qualifications:

• Valid California Bar license
• Minimum of 3 years of labor and employment litigation experience
• MUST have 3 years experience with Wage & Hour litigation
• Applicants MUST be strong writers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Wage & Hour / Employment Attorney, Defense | Responsibilities:

• Draft employment documents
• Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery
• Researching state, federal, and administrative law
• Appear for hearings and conferences before state and federal courts and administrative agencies (CRD, EEOC, ALRB, DLSE, Cal/OSHA)
• Draft and argue motions including motions for summary judgment and class certification
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage own caseload and calendar
