Position Summary/Description:
The primary purpose of this position to help Lineberger manage its donor gift accounts of approximately $45 million in expendable funds and $42 million in endowment funds. These funds are used for cancer research basic science, translation science, clinical care, and patient financial support. This position is important to the mission of Lineberger to help in the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer.
The Accounting Technician is responsible for the full range of accounting functions for approximately 100 Medical Foundation trust accounts as well as some departmental accounts. Responsibilities include account reconciliations, accounts payable, check deposits, budget transfers, check requests, travel reimbursements, purchasing card reconciliations and management of flow through payroll and expense accounts.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
