QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Graduate of four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or equivalent. Completion of an accredited residency program, and fellowship in Sleep Medicine.

Certification/Licensure:

• Board Certified in Sleep Medicine (ABSM certification).
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state(s).
• Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.
• ACLS certification required.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Clinical:

• Provides expertise in the diagnosis and management of clinical conditions that occur during sleep, that disturb sleep, or that are affected by disturbances in the wake-sleep cycle.
• Analyzes and interprets polysomnography.
• Responds promptly in writing to referral source with clinical findings and suggested plan of care.
• Performs clinical responsibilities at assigned Legacy hospitals.
• Works in collaboration with advanced practitioners (Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners).

Administrative:

• Collaborates with colleagues and other staff to develop policies and procedures for sleep medicine throughout Legacy Health.
• Participates in quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Participates in marketing/outreach for Sleep Program, as requested.
• Serves on department, hospital and Legacy Health committees as requested.
