We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team. The Controller will play a critical role in managing our company's growth, which is expected to be substantial over the next 2-3 years. The responsibilities for the role include financial operations in F&A, compliance, reporting, analysis, policy development/implementation and providing financial guidance to support our growth. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, and present findings to senior management.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process with the CFO, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with business goals. Prepare regular financial forecasts to support decision-making.
  3. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to optimize working capital. Implement cash management strategies and ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.
  4. Compliance: Stay up to date with accounting and tax laws, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors. Works with external partners to ensure all tax matters are addressed in a timely manner Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  5. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, cost analysis, and profitability analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets.
  7. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
  8. ERP System Management: Oversee the company's financial systems, including the ERP system, and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  3. Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  5. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus).
  6. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  10. High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  11. Experience with Power BI is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  1. A mastery or high working level of knowledge with GAAP.
  2. Previous experience in a consulting services company is a plus.
  3. Experience managing, developing, and leading a finance team.
  4. Track record of successful financial management and strategic planning.
  5. Familiarity with industry-specific financial challenges and trends.
