As a member of the Market Access Excellence team in Commercial Excellence, the Associate Director, Access Services Excellence role will have a primary focus on supporting the Access Services learning strategy and initiatives. This position will leverage the capabilities of the ComEx team, while focusing on the need to provide learning and development consistency across all areas of Access Services. Through these efforts, the Associate Director is expected to co-lead the development of the learning and development strategy, including clinical acumen, business acumen, and developmental skills and capabilities that align with the Access Services strategic priorities.
The Associate Director functions as a strategic partner to key stakeholders across Access Services, Market Access, Brand, Payer Medical, and Global teams representing ComEx to recommend and deliver best in class learning experiences. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with this diverse team providing subject matter expertise in learning design and delivery, utilizing technology and data insights to drive outcomes. The Associate Director contributes to the overall success of the business by identifying innovative ways to continuously improve the learning process and enhance learning effectiveness.
In this role, the Associate Director will:
- Transform the Learner Experience: The Associate Director will work with their multiple assigned therapeutic area counterparts in ComEx to identify programs and assets from which Market Access audiences may benefit, and will work to create new, Access Services/Market Access-specific assets, blending them seamlessly to create effective and consistent product training experiences for the (Access Services and Market Access teams they support. The Associate Director will also focus on the complete lifecycle of learning for Access Services/Market Access audiences, designing learning to ensure effective onboarding and competency- and skill-based learning for varying levels of experience within the department.
- Modernize Learning Technology: The Associate Director will leverage expertise within ComEx to identify technologies that will further enhance the Access Services/Market Access learning experience, incorporating adaptive learning and other tools to ensure our audiences receive learning that is easily accessible, relevant, and actionable.
- Scale Access to Learning Content : The Associate Director will work in tandem with colleagues in ComEx to both leverage existing assets for the Access Services/Market Access audiences and create meaningful content to help accelerate team performance. In addition, the Associate Director will partner with Global counterparts to determine synergies and share content more broadly.
- Maximize Overall Spend: The Associate Director will be steeped in all ComEx resources and able to determine how they can be customized for the Access Services/Market Access audience to maximize spend on these programs. He or she will closely partner with ComEx colleagues to ensure maximum use of all investments by all parties who may benefit from them.
- Generate Learning Insights : The Associate Director will identify the metrics that demonstrate how we influence and accelerate performance of the Access Services/Market Access team, and will create measurement strategies for our key activities.
The Associate Director of Access Services/Market Access Learning will work across a variety of cross-functional teams, and must be a strong, flexible team player focused on delivering results while enhancing the positive and energetic culture within ComEx that makes it a Great Place to Work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Partners with Access Services/Market Access Leadership and Subject Matter Experts to understand current and future learning needs and provide regular updates on program status.
- Ensures learning experiences support market changes. Evolving training and learning must provide Access Services/Market Access teams the tools to support patients and HCPs navigate the changing US healthcare and access landscape
- Collaborate with internal ComEx team to identify learning strategies and existing capabilities to address training needs engages effectively with internal stakeholders across the business, with an ability to earn credibility and inspire confidence in ComEx .
- Ensures consistency and alignment across Access Services/Market Access segments through a cohesive strategy to support an exceptional patient and customer experience
- Understands the business of the organization; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace; is future-oriented; can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods; can contribute to and execute competitive and innovative strategies and plans.
- Researches, develops and disseminates post-training performance support and reinforcement tools to sustain behavioral change and drive improved performance and business outcomes.
- Develops others by providing actionable feedback in essential areas of job performance. Cultivates a culture of collaboration to drive innovation and continuous progress.
- Leads key elements of launch execution for new products and indications within his or her assigned therapeutic areas
- Leads key elements of training execution for training initiatives within his or her assigned scope
- Utilizes adult learning and instructional design principles to design and deliver new training content to fill identified opportunities for on-boarding, upskilling, and professional development
- Supports Access Services L&D Governance initiatives
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years total relevant experience
- Ability to manage a diverse group of responsibilities
