Job description
Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Enterprise Data Management team over the summer. As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our IT department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of IT roles and responsibilities specific to Enterprise Data Management project delivery and operations support.
- Perform Project Management, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, or Data Engineer responsibilities, inclusive of artifact creation and administration (e.g. Project Schedule, Project Requirements, Project Test Plan / Test Cases, Query or Reports, ETL Code).
- In addition to technical development, an EDMA intern will receive soft skill coaching and mentoring, inclusive of leadership, communication (verbal & written), problem solving, time management, and teamwork. Simply put, EDMA interns will have the opportunity to sample a variety of IT roles and responsibilities in support of solidifying their preferred field of study or profession.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
- Strong interest in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Warehousing, or Data Analytics
- High school or college related course work is preferred.
