Description:
We are seeking a seasoned scientist who has a strong focus on deliverables quality and teamwork to join the Research team at Lawrence Analytics LLC . In this role you will be leading a core facility team for medium scale (15 L) production of our nonviral delivery vectors to support our research platform goals. This is a highly collaborative role and the successful candidate will work closely with our particle science team pharmacology team upstream and downstream PD teams and analytical development team.
You will be tasked to build and lead a team of associates to adapt and optimize internal and external processes with the goal of delivering high quality materials for in vivo and in vitro studies. You will communicate actively with different teams to monitor the demand for production and manage the production schedule and supply for this core facility and will serve to facilitate bioprocess knowledge transfer between the research and technical divisions. We are a small but rapidly growing company with big aspirations and the ability to work in a highly collaborative and fastpaced environment is a must.
Job Responsibilities
- and nbsp;Establish optimize and maintain the core nonviral vector production capability within the Research team building on existing processes. Meet established targets for ontime delivery of highquality materials for in vivo studies.
- Maintain a demandsignal forecast with internal stakeholders effectively communicate production schedule and status proactively identify risks and communicate promptly with stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase batchtobatch consistency production efficiency and overall quarterbyquarter capacity.
- and nbsp;Hire train and manage research associate(s); oversee the quality of the teams work.
- Be responsible for the teams compliance to our operational excellence through championing our knowledge management (e.g. ELN) project management lab management and lab safety processes and tools.
- Handson lab work is expected to successfully lead manage and sustain a high performing core production capability.
Requirements:
- BS/MS/PhD in Molecular Biology Biochemistry Biological engineering or a related field.
- 5 years experience in biotech/biopharma research facilities CROs or a related institute.
- Extensive handson experience with the full biological production and purification processes of AAV lentivirus other viruses VLP or EVs is required.
- Experience with transfectionbased particle production from both suspension and adherent cell lines is required.
- Experience managing a production schedule to support high value company deliverables is a plus.
- Experience managing technical staff via clear priorities/instructions and strong support for direct reports.
- Collaborative and inclusive work style; communicate well with other team members with diverse backgrounds.
