Position Summary:
This position is responsible for operationalizing the vision and strategy of the Supply Chain Department. This includes project coordination, planning, and day to day administration of the Supply Chain staff responsible for the receiving, distribution and overall inventory management of supplies within the organization while concurrently facilitating efficient and cost-effective operations to meet current and future business needs of the organization related to supply chain.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or experience in lieu of education
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5+ years� relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Control, materials management and proficient with business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
- Work may occasionally require travel to other facilities/hospitals. required to drive your own vehicle for business purposes.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE � A working knowledge of Lawson software application/products.� Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work, excellent organizational skills, and initiative to improve processes.� Strong project management skills.� Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts.� Requires ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users.� Requires knowledge of federal healthcare laws and regulations.� Requires highly developed written and communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management throughout Carle, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
Essential Functions:
- Operational & Staff Management * Leads the Supply Chain team in managing the day-to-day activities to support the receiving, distribution and inventory management functions. * Provides overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources, and their activities. * Completes the recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning. * Prepares and participate in the preparation of staff development plans for each staff member. * Assess the skills and skill levels necessary to achieve Supply Chain work objectives. * Leads engagement and performance enablement of the Supply Chain team * Performs performance evaluations for staff. Creates an environment for staff growth, development, career planning, productivity and satisfaction by conducting staff meetings and one-on-one meetings at least monthly with all direct reports * Establishes effective mechanisms of communication with staff and the management team to foster an environment of openness, trust, teamwork and staff development.
- Business/Initiative Support * Fosters and maintain positive relationships with Supply Chain constituents, including local / regional (primary focus on Patient Care departments) and System Service (Central Procurement/Contracting/Value Analysis). * Serves as an interface between internal/external customers and the functional team members to ensure effective delivery of Supply Chain services. * Promotes proactive approaches to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the Supply Chain operation. * Assists with the planning, budgeting and forecasting of Supply Chain needs. * Consults with business stakeholders to understand both the day to day reporting and long term analytics needs for the organization around its supply data. * Researches industry best practices and leverages both internal resources and external vendors to drive results via data.
