Accounting Manager Consultant responsibilities for clients include:
Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities for Advisory Services clients. Manage and oversee the daily operation of the accounting team.
Job Description
The Accounting Manager Consultant is responsible for supervising the accounting team, implementing processes, managing month/year-end close process, and ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately.
We are looking for 8+ years experience, preferably including 2-5 years in the industry, consulting and public accounting experience are a big plus.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounting team and provide training and mentoring.
- Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and the use of resources.
- Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and Review Journal Entries.
- Prepare and Review Account Reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger system.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Assist in annual audit process and respond to audit questions as needed.
- Provide recommendations to Controller as needed.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Utilize RoseRyan best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services and interacting with RoseRyan personnel.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
Requirements
Required skills and experience:
- BS degree in accounting or finance [or work experience equivalent]
- 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles
- 5+ years prior supervisory experience in a large private or public company.
- Proficiency in accounting software - For example, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle.
- MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and Macros
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP
- Experience managing the month-end and year-end close processes and preparing financial statements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills
Desired skills and experience:
- CPA certification preferred
- Operational accounting
- Inventory tracking
- Financial reporting
- Preferred industry experience includes Technology, FinTech, eCommerce, Software, Hardware, SaaS, Manufacturing, Life Science, Pharma, and Medical Device.
