Description
General: Seeking an IP Network Engineer with broad experience in an enterprise environment.
This position is in support of Plan of Record (POR) work the client Global Network & Technology organization.This role you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and addressing RAN and core network performance problems; troubleshooting and resolving issues associated with new build and POR work.
- Physical Location: Hillsboro OR o In-Person/Onsite (hybrid shifts as determined by manager)
- Hours: Primary 8hr shift (Day/Night as needed)
Required Technical Background and Expertise:
- 6 years of experience in an enterprise network environment
- Ability to function in a highly dynamic environment.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with the following technologies:
o IP routing and virtualization in a Wide Area Network - MPLS, VRF, IPSEC, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Ethernet, and TDM and operation
o Nokia Enterprise and Industrial routing and switching platforms, modules, and configurations
o Experience with Nokia routers (7750, 7705, IXR)
o Native MPLS transport design, and implementation work leveraging Nokia equipment
o WAN performance, optimization, and assurance techniques
o Network management and authentication systems
o Wireless LAN, operation, and maintenance
o IP subnetting
o IP protocols
o Operation of LAN switching technology - VLANs, Trunking, FHRP's
o Proficient knowledge of network security best practices with hands on experience configuring Access Control Lists, TACACS+, SNMP, AAA, SSH
Preferred certifications:
- Nokia Network Routing Specialist I (NRS I)
- Nokia Network Routing Specialist II (NRS II)
- Nokia Routing Architect (SRA)

responsibilities: - Work on multiple projects with different PM's and stakeholders.
- Support technology delivery within defined capital/delivery projects under the direction of client's Network Engineers and Project Managers.
- Execute engineering tasks according to plan and meet engineering goals and objectives.
- Able to support any/all capital project work for Pacific Northwest (WA/OR/AK/HI)
- Primarily a project based role, working on multiple projects with different PM's and stakeholders.
- Support technology delivery within defined capital/delivery projects under the direction of client's Network Engineers and Project Managers.
- Execute engineering tasks according to plan and meet engineering goals and objectives.
- Plan and execute network moves and changes including hardware installation, change management, and customer activation.
- Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant products and offerings.
- Assist in special projects with the ability to function in a highly dynamic environment.
