EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a Director of Business Development to join our team in our Danville, VA plant! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.
Job Description: The position of the Director of Business Development performs the function of securing new business consistent with the EITs manufacturing capabilities and goals. As well as, providing support and service to maintain relationships with EIT customers and qualified prospects.
- Executes both short- and long-term plans and programs to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of the company
- Executes the companys marketing and sales strategy to gain market share in the U.S. market and to grow profitable existing accounts and win profitable new customer relationships in the U.S. marketplace
- Understands the competitive dynamics in electronic manufacturing services especially in the U.S. marketplace
- Attends regular marketing and sales meetings and strategy sessions to remain informed of external and internal opportunities or threats to products and sales.
- Represents the company at trade association meetings and exhibits to promote a product or service
- Conducts regular existing customer surveys in order to determine the satisfaction level with the company
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelors degree in industrial, mechanical or business administration or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of business development, marketing, and/or sales experience in a PCBA and Mechanical contract manufacturing environment - required
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales programs and reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, and price schedules
- Ability to present technical information to both individuals and small groups
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective, professional relationships
Working Conditions: Hybrid - in the office as needed. Regional travel required with occasional overnight trips.
